When to reach for it​

Against an image, the deciding factor is control and source: icon for a symbol from the built-in picker that recolours and rescales cleanly, image for a logo or anything not in the set.

Worth knowing

The element stores the icon's drawing data alongside its name because the renderer has no icon library, so changing the name alone does not change what is drawn.
