When to reach for it​

Against a text element, the deciding factor is how much structure is in the content: markdown for multi-block prose authored as one piece, text when you need exact placement and styling of a single run.

Worth knowing

The only styling controls are font family, size and colour, so the appearance of individual headings, lists and code blocks comes from the renderer rather than from properties you set.
